ABOUT
A road freight operator focused on one corridor.
Aim Group France runs scheduled freight between the United Kingdom and France. We are a UK-registered operator with the operations team, the customs team, and the account managers sitting in the same room — not subcontracted, not outsourced.
WHY ONE CORRIDOR
We chose to be specialists, not generalists.
The UK↔France lane changed materially after 2020. A generalist European haulier handles UK↔France alongside ten other corridors and treats it as one of many. We chose to run it as the only thing. The customs path, the Channel crossings, the French distribution network, the seasonal freight peaks — all of it is rehearsed.
The corridor is busy. Hauliers either invest in it properly or hand it off. We invested.

HOW THE OPERATION RUNS
One file reference, end to end.
Every consignment opens with a single reference at booking and closes with a returned proof-of-delivery against the same reference. The operations team and the customs team share that file. There is one place to ask "where is my freight" and one person to ask it.
Brief
Route, volume, packaging, commodity codes, special instructions. The consignor confirms via email; we open a file ref and a written rate.
Customs prep
EORI verified each side. EAD raised UK-side, French import declaration drafted. T1 transit only where the routing requires.
Collection
Driver presents at the consignor with the booking reference, CMR, and a packing list reconciled to the EAD. Loaded and sealed.
Crossing
GMR generated in GVMS and married to the booking pre-arrival at the port. Driver presents the GMR at check-in. No GMR, no board.
French clearance + delivery
French import declaration cleared via DGDDI; T1 discharged if used; delivery confirmed against the consignee POD and returned to the consignor file.
OPERATING STANDARDS
What we hold ourselves to.
Compliance
Operator's Licence held with the Office of the Traffic Commissioner. Drivers operate to EU Mobility Package and UK Drivers' Hours regulations. Vehicle maintenance schedules logged and audited.
Insurance
Public liability, goods-in-transit and CMR cover in force. Specific cover levels and policy numbers shared on request as part of the carrier set-up pack for B2B customers.
Data & documentation
Customs records retained per HMRC and DGDDI requirements. Booking files closed with POD and customs proofs. GDPR-compliant on personal data carried in shipping records.
Accreditations
Industry accreditations are listed on our accreditations page. We do not claim credentials we do not hold — see that page for the current status.
